“Network is about development. Every participant will develop a feature project and each project will be supported and mentored individually. All developments are different: some participants will be writing a screenplay; some will be learning how to package, pitch and finance a film; some will be putting together a creative team and some will be doing all of these.”
Creating the right colour-scheme
Developing the layout and sections of the site
Setup media and news features
Develop the private network for participants and teachers to communicate through
Application, submission and Contact forms
Working with the world-renowned Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) we designed and developed the website in WordPress to initially accept applications to the programme. After this we developed an exclusive social network for the participants and mentors using BuddyPress.
This involved creating a colourful look that appealed to the film-making community, with an user-friendly layout so candidates could not only find the information they wanted but could also submit their application in full.
To accompany this website we built a social network for successful candidates so they could speak with other participants and also their mentors. This was used as the primary form of communication throughout the course.
We also set up their twitter account and provided support to the website and staff.
